About This Course

The Institute of Banking Studies (IBS), accredited by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF), provides mandatory certification training for aspiring Debt Recovery Agents. The Debt Recovery Agent (DRA) Certificate Course is a structured professional program designed to prepare individuals to work as authorized recovery agents for banks, NBFCs, recovery agencies, and other financial institutions. The program focuses on regulatory guidelines, recovery procedures, communication skills, legal aspects, and ethical practices, ensuring participants are fully equipped to perform their roles effectively and professionally.

Course Description

    • 1. Daily mandatory live classes from 09:30 AM till 5:30 PM with breaks in between.

  • 2. Recorded classes are available in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam.

  • 3. One physical, exam-oriented study book of whatever the language you choose out of these
  • (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odiya and Gujrati) will be dispatched to the candidate’s registered address or bank branch within one week from the date of enrollment.

  • 4. Comprehensive Mock Tests: 5 Full-length Mock Tests

  • 5. Doubt-clarification via Telegram group and WhatsApp support.

  • 6. Personalized mentorship guidance to assist candidates with preparation strategies and exam success. 

  • For whom is this course?

  • (i) Direct Selling Agent (DSA)/ Direct Marketing Agent (DMA)/ Debt Recovery Agent (DRA)/ Debt Recovery Tele caller (DRT) or any other agent, by whatever name call, who is engaged directly or indirectly either for remuneration or for commission in connection with recovery of debt of banks or the enforcement of securities in banks.

  • (ii) Any individual who would like to make a career as a Debt Recovery Agent for a bank.

  • ELIGIBILITY:

  • (i) Minimum qualification of SSC passed or above.

  • (ii) Age: Candidate must have completed 18 years of age on the date of application for training.

  • (iii) Training: a. 10th Std. Passed and up to graduation - 100 hours b. Graduation & above - 50 hours

  • (iv) Employees of BPO/ Call Centres with educational qualification of graduation and above need to undergo only 50 hours of training as per training schedule provided to Banks/ Accredited Institutes.

What You Will Learn

    • DRA Syllabus and Exam Pattern

    • Module A-Basics of Banking
  • Module B- Brief Outline of Various Products and Legal Aspects of Recovery
  • Module C-Role in Loan Recovery and Soft Skills
  • Module D-Additional Reading on NBFCs

  • The question paper will contain 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. There will NOT be negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Minimum passing marks for the examination are 50 out of 100. Candidates must pass the examination within three attempts and within a period of nine months from the date of completion of training.

  • If a candidate does not qualify within the prescribed attempts or time limit, re-enrolment will be required. Examination will be conducted in English, Hindi and other vernacular languages viz. Marathi, Malayalam, Gujarati, Kannada, Oriya, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu and Assamese
